Ways to present a PowerPoint.

The way a PowerPoint is presented depends on how the professional PowerPoint is developed. A regular PowerPoint is commonly used for spoken presentations to support the verbal presentation. Alternatively, an interactive PowerPoint can be presented without a presenter where the viewer can interact with the slides. We can develop an interactive PowerPoint tailored to your needs and requirements.

The recommended time to speak per slide partially depends on the number of slides. If the PowerPoint has a smaller number of slides, you can speak longer per slide than when showing a larger number of slides. It is crucial to consider the viewer's attention span, and according to neuropsychological research, PowerPoints of up to 18 minutes are most effective. For a PowerPoint presentation with 9 slides, you could speak for a maximum of 2 minutes per slide to keep the audience engaged throughout the presentation. It is essential to consider the message you want to convey and the number of slides required to support it effectively.

Presenting a PowerPoint is never standard, as the way of presenting depends on the topic, specific message, and audience. It's important to remember that each PowerPoint presentation is unique and should be conveyed in its own way. However, there are some tips that apply to every PowerPoint presentation. Here are three:

  1. Convey only one message per slide.
  2. Limit spoken words and let the slide tell the story.
  3. Always use strong visuals since humans are visually inclined.

Yes, we offer different types of training to teach you how to create strong and effective PowerPoint presentations step by step. The longest training is the Presentation Pro, consisting of three 120-minute sessions. The second training is our PPT Skills training, which is a single 120-minute session. Finally, our third training is the Data Visualization training, which is also a single 120-minute session. These (online) training sessions are designed to optimize presentation quality.
